Mr. Joel Fitzgibbon, Minister for Defence

 Parliament House, Canberra ACT 2600

Dear Sir,

Investigation about the killer

I am writing to you to respectfully request you to investigate about an operation in Afghanistan in November 2007.

According the report of Sydney Morning Herald, (Source: The Sun-Herald) 25 November 2007 says: “The Department of Defence has revealed yesterday that three Afghan civilians were killed during the attack on a Taliban stronghold on Friday. It is not clear if the civilians were killed by Australian gunfire or by the Taliban, Defence spokesman Brigadier Andrew Nikolic said”.

Although it is not easy to investigate about a matter in Afghanistan but I will do my best to investigate about it through the contacts I have in overseas. I also would like to know whether or not the department of defence is able to investigate about the operation to find out that those three innocents civilians were killed by Australian gunfire or by the Taliban? Can the Department for Defence investigate about it? I appreciate if you can answer my question as soon as possible.

Kind regards,

Sheikh Haron
