Dear Mr. David King,
Seeking
Redress
I am writing to you regarding the ignorance of The Australia for correcting its
inaccurate report on Wednesday 2nd April 2008. I have written to Ms.
Jane Summerhayes a letter dated 3rd April
2008 seeking the redress. Ms. Summerhayes in response
letter dated 4th April has written: “The contents of your letter have been drawn to the attention of
editorial staff who remain willing to interview you”, and I have sent her a
letter of reply 8th April stating that: “If the purpose of the interview is for redress and for having more
information to be able to correct the wrong reports, I note that there is
enough information on my website including documents, letters, notices, photos,
videos etc. If editorial staff look at the website properly they will be able
to realise their reports have been wrong and inaccurate, so there is no need
for interview. However, I make decision about interview after the inaccurate
reports are fixed and published, if still you want to interview after redress”.
Although I have expressed not willing to interview at that stage, two days
later a journalist from The Australian, Mr. Richard Kerbaj,
called and interviewed me on the phone on 10th April 2008.
About one and half month has passed from the date that
four inaccurate issues in that article have been published and still the
correcting article has not been published, or if it has already been published
I am unaware of that. Would you please correct the wrong report.
The details of those four issues mentioned in my letter of 3rd April
2008.
Kind regards,
Sheikh Haron
